MACA Smoothie - Superfood

Want an energy boost? Try Maca - an herb from Peru. You will discover an increase in energy, stamina, strength, and your libido.

Maca root contains calcium, iron, magnesium and selenium as well as essential fatty acids and 19 amino acids. Maca contains phytochemicals that act on the central nervous system. It also contains gluconsinolates (also found in broccoli, cabbage and radishes).

Maca has a distinct flavor, so only add a tablespoon. It has a sort of nutty, butterscotch smell and taste, so it doesn't go well with all fruits. Here's a recipe with bananas:
Maca powder
Cacao powder
Almond milk
Banana
Almond Nut Butter
Raw Honey
Hemp Seeds
